How about head bands. I bought a cute homemade head band for $10 at a craft show a couple weeks ago. It didn't look too hard. It doesn't use much cloth so you can splurge on material, make them really special.
I bought a sewing machine a couple months ago. I'm signed up for beginner lessons next month. I was thinking I could probably make a headband similar to the one I bought as a very beginner. Hope that helps.

These are all awesome ideas!
It is so funny that just before checking in with the forum, I was googling crafts to make and sell.

I've made a few kids' coloring wallets with this pattern and they sold well. Not very hard, either. You get to have fun coordinating fabrics, too.

When I bought the pattern, it let you sell the finished product. They turn out really cute and make great gifts, too.
