Thread: How to know when a hit auto-approves...

  1. #11
Is there a deadline before it is auto approved without the requesters approval or must the requester input a max time limit? Will Amazon just approve it after so long?

  2. #12
Amazon automatically approves all hits which are still pending after 30 days.

How the heck did you find that information out? I'm just curious. Thank you!

If you've already done hits, is there a way to tell when it was set for auto approval even though no more are posted and they are pending on your account? I have several hundred from Bansi Shah pending and thought they were on a 24 hour auto approval but apparently not after 3 days.

I don't think so, Bat. Once it's turned in, all you really have is the requester ID.

Hey, I know this is a pretty old thread now, But I just wanted to give people a heads up. I tried out Clark's technique for checking auto-approve times and haven't been able to get any results from it. I think maybe the designation for auto approval time has been changed. Anyway, like I said, just a heads up

Still works fine for me. Make sure you're viewing the source for the main Amazon window and not the HIT itself. Also I think if the requester doesn't enter an auto approval time that line doesn't appear at all and it just defaults to 30 days.

How dare you say this method isn't timeless. It still works. It will work forever. Till the end of time. I just did it for the techlist hit, the first piece of crap on the Mturk board:

    "<input type="hidden" name="hitAutoAppDelayInSeconds" value="2592000">"

That comes out to 30 days.

Did you make sure your computer was plugged in first?

There are also easier scripts that will display this value within the HIT information itself....

Got it now, before I was going to the page source for the listing instead of actually going ahead to "view hit" ect ect. At least for me, it works for when I do it on the HIT itself, not from the main window as cubbykatz reported. Weird stuff o.O
    sorry 'bout that :P
