I am testing Windows 8 for working on Mturk!
I use Mac OSX!
I use Linux/Free BSD for my turking needs!
I use something else on my tablet/smart phone!

Yeah, the only time I run a Linux distro is on removable media when my computer is borked, usually for recovering data off the hard drive to an external.
Otherwise, unless you're on an ancient XP system, I don't see any reason not to run Windows 7. Amazing combination of stability and speed.
I don't own any Macs, as I never really had any reason to learn another OS when the one I use already does everything.
Mine is Windows 7 Ultimate, though I still have to explore.
Old version of OSX on a five-year-old MacBook.

Running Windows Vista for most activities but boot up the Linux partition from time to time.

Windows Xp for the win!
I've got a computer that could easily run Vista or 7 with no issues, but XP runs all of the programs I need it to, flawlessly. I love the build and how simple it all is, and I'm very experienced in fixing most issues.
Windows 7 on my laptop & XP on my desktop, I go back & forth when I am turking.
My technogeek brother has warned me to avoid Win 8 at all costs, advised me to just upgrade to 7 when Xp stopped working. He's a Linux guy, but Ubuntu just wouldn't work on the laptop I had. I never tried it on this machine.
