    I triple boot personally, Windows 7 for office and administration applications and usually turking.
    Mac os X Lion for media application's.
    And linux when I need to diagnose an issue and have no other way to do it.

    Yeah, the only time I run a Linux distro is on removable media when my computer is borked, usually for recovering data off the hard drive to an external.

    Otherwise, unless you're on an ancient XP system, I don't see any reason not to run Windows 7. Amazing combination of stability and speed.

    I don't own any Macs, as I never really had any reason to learn another OS when the one I use already does everything.

    Windows = Surfing, Turking, Gaming
    Mac OS X = Anything that has to do with designing anything
    Linux = programming
    Won't this require you to own each of the OS's? I'm pretty sure Linux is free, but I don't know about Mac OSX. And of course Windows OEMs are always parked at $100..

    Windows Xp for the win!

    I've got a computer that could easily run Vista or 7 with no issues, but XP runs all of the programs I need it to, flawlessly. I love the build and how simple it all is, and I'm very experienced in fixing most issues.

    My technogeek brother has warned me to avoid Win 8 at all costs, advised me to just upgrade to 7 when Xp stopped working. He's a Linux guy, but Ubuntu just wouldn't work on the laptop I had. I never tried it on this machine.
