    Computer gaming and Turking

I have only just recently discovered Turking and I am a very keen gamer while studying for my degreee at university.

On a normal day between doing my work, I play a lot of games. Maybe 4-5 hours a day which is a lot seen as I'm at university (use to be 8-10 hours a day). So now I have discovered turking and what I am doing is taking a chunk of my gaming time 1-2 hours at the moment and converting it to turking time. So this helps me to try to get myself off the games so much and do something more productive.. make money!

So anyways that's my cool story but I was wondering if there are other gamers here, what games you play, how you split up your gaming and turking etc.

Currently I have got back into Sid Mieirs Civilisation IV but I mainly play XBOX (fifa/cod/split second/fullhouse poker)

I'm not really a gamer, but if you look at a lot of the casual games that women play, they simulate work. (Time management games, match 3, etc) Might as well be paid for it.

I think that there is a thread already for gamers to get together, but to answer your question, yes I play games. I mostly play computer games, such as the Nancy Drew series, but I also play games on my Wii.

I like to play words with friends and also sims 3, but I have been reducing my time on sims 3 because I have been trying to get back into turking again, after some time away/

I got Civ 4 in a Steam sale and played the tutorial a while back, but I don't want to dive into the game because everyone says it takes over your life, haha.

Civ 4 can take a chunk of time if you forget that you can save your game. Not that I ever forgot that... >.>

I don't seem to have the same enthusiasm for video games I once did. Limbo was pretty good, if short. I like Minecraft too but it's kinda same-same after a while if you don't have a lot of time to spend on a multiplayer server.

Wouldn't mind trying another MMO if it were free and didn't take up all of my time.

Same here, im so involved with those kind of time management games, so i just find a way to be more efficient with games (get it done and get out)

I got it really cheap in steam sale too! And you have been informed correctly, I just finished a game that lasted 5 hours 30 of which I did 4 hours straight. Just so tempting to take one more turn before turning it off haha!

I also have minecraft, spent soo long on it with my brother and some other friends but like you said; once you have built a massive empire and played around with everything, doing it all over again just seems pointless.

Yeah, and I also started playing Fallout 3 recently, which I hear also takes up tons of time, so I definitely can't do both at once!

Haven't played that yet, keep telling myself to buy it though! But I have been on the Mass effect 3 demo quite a bit; quite slow with a lot of character talking but full game looks like it could be pretty sweet
