Posting in the Right Place on Turker Nation

The staff have been spending the bulk of their time moving threads and posts which have been placed in the wrong area. For example, the Hall of Fame / Shame is only for posting about your experiences with requesters, NOT discussing their HITs or other topics. It is ONLY for rating the requesters on Mturk. Don't discuss when they post, how to do their HITs, or announce that they've posted there. Those posts will be deleted, not moved, and you may receive an infraction.

Another example is that any thread which is not about Mturk should be placed in the Off Topic section in the Social Area.

The Forum Discussion section is only for issues about Turker Nation and no posts or threads about anything else should ever be put there.

General Turking is for things about Mturk. If you have a question about the qualifications process, use the Qualification Questions sub-forum. If you have a questions about a requester they should be placed in the proper section or thread for that requester in the Requesters' Boardroom. If you cannot see this section that means you do not have access to it yet. If you still go ahead and post in the wrong place just because you don't have access, you will either find your post moved to its correct place or deleted, and you will likely earn yourself an infraction.

Please think carefully about where you post and take the time to see if somebody already created a thread on the subject before you create a new thread. Those that fail to follow these rules will find their posts removed. If you are a repeat offender, you may receive an infraction for doing it or worse.

How do we know what goes in the sub-forums if we can't see them?

  6. #4
If you can't see them, then you don't know. The point is that you can share and add what you can to the parts that you are able to see.

    As stated above:
"If you still go ahead and post in the wrong place just because you don't have access, you will either find your post moved to its correct place or deleted, and you will likely earn yourself an infraction."

As many members have said before, it is worth the wait. Don't forget, you can also visit out chat room to talk to someone who can answer your questions
