I love to knit and made all sorts of clothes for myself and friends, sweathers, vests, gloves etc. But then I came to Florida and it is just too hot to have the knit fabric on me so I had to stop. And boy, do I miss it!!

I wish I was better at crafting. I do counted cross-stitch, and that's about it. My late mother was very gifted in sewing and made many beautiful quilts (hand-sewn) as well as curtains and other things. She did that old-fashioned embroidery, the kind where you use an iron-on transfer pattern then embroider it. Mother told me that when she was a young girl during the great depression, you couldn't get dress patterns. She would literally tear apart an old dress and make a pattern out of it in order to sew a new one. She also made beautiful necklaces out of tiny gold or silver beads. I don't know how to describe them.....the whole thing would look like it had been crocheted.

I love to make jewelry, sew, and "upcycle" things. I am dying to knit, crochet and needlepoint too, but I only have the two hands, darn it.

I can crochet (everyone for xmas got blanklets!), I do beading, glass etching, craft kits. I am learning how to do chainmaile. I wish I knew how to sew... I have my moms machine, just can't get the hang of it. Hubby and I do enjoy going down to the local store for Habitat for Humanity and look at items then see what we could make with it!

Has anyone tried the knitting boards? You can make all kinds of things with NO knitting experience required. I bought a nice wooden one and made blankets, scarves and even a poncho. They have all different sized ones. They even have one now that is adjustable in size, which may be my next purchase.
I'm not sure if this is considered a craft, but I recently started candle making, using silicone molds. I still have some to learn, all my candles are coming out wonky and not smooth, but it's a lot of fun. I'm also thinking about getting into jewelery
making.

My passion is creating designs for embroidery machines for others to use. I wish I could afford a embroidery machine to do the designs myself but they are between 7 and 8 Thousand Dollars ugh! So the next best thing is to design patterns and see the outcome of those efforts by others.
I may be knocked down, but I sure as hell am not out of the game yet!

My main craft hobby is making jewelry. Mostly chainmaille jewelryI also dabble in lots of other crafts (fabric painting and Chrismas ornaments being the big "others" right now). If I had plenty of time and plenty of money I would try just about everything!! Crafting is a bit of an obsession with me
