    Good morning, Nation!

I am ecstatic that it's above 0! Does anybody else have a dog whose feet/legs freeze up in the extreme cold? My poor girl hasn't been able to go outside for more than 2-3 minutes in what seems like forever. It only happens when it's real cold (single digits or lower) AND there's snow or ice on the ground. It renders her pretty much paralyzed where she just can't move....I'm guessing it's painful. I have to watch her like a hawk and when I see her start slowing I yell for her to "come" and she's able to run and get in the house before it fully sets in and only 1 or 2 legs are "frozen". If I don't catch it quick enough she completely freezes and I have to go fetch her (58 lbs of protesting pup and 12 stairs to go up, yeah). This girl is neurotic about her feet being touched (she's a rescue at 5 months and came to us with many long scars on her belly where she had been stitched up, they think she got tangled in in barbed wire or similar), so bad that even the veterinarian's office cannot manage to get her nails cut without sedating her...so "booties" are not an option. I tried baby socks, that was a no-go. I've had dogs all my life and have never seen this happen, though all my other puppers have been large breeds or bigger, her legs and feet are tiny compared.

Okay, time to make some money
