    New Requester - Need some help designing a HIT

    Hi -

    I am a new requester and I need some help designing a data validation HIT. Basically, I have a list of 5,500 addresses and healthcare provider names and I need to know based on a Google search (or any search engine) whether the address is correct for that provider name. If it is not correct, I need to know what the correct address is (for example, if there was a typo in the address).

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

    Sounds pretty basic for us. In the GUI you can use one of the templates ("Other" is probably a good start) with {variables} where you need to put the address and provider names, which will then be replaced with content from your uploaded CSV file (of all the addresses and names). Let me know what sort of help you're looking for!

    In a CSV file, use the column headers as variables for your mturk HIT. For example, if your spreadsheet has Company as one column, and Address as another column, your HIT should be set up like:

    Company name: ${Company}
    Address: ${Address}

    When you publish the HIT, Amazon will fill each HIT with the corresponding entry(ies) from your spreadsheet. It will create one HIT for each row on your CSV file. Hope this makes sense.
    Eschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation. Batch HITs for newbs. 1000 req'd. 5000 req'd.
