    Multi-Crafters!

So I thought of making a thread to post all our crafty stuff in, since there's so many of us, and then just now when I finally had time to do it, I realized there's an entire Crafty sub forum!!!! I don't generally go other places than the daily HIT threads on the forum, because then I'll get all distracted and not be working lol. Anyway, I just wanted to start a discussion about those of us who do multiple types of crafts. I bead (BOY do I bead!), I work with polymer clay (making beads among other things!), I crochet, I paint, I make fairy hair wreaths from eucalyptus and ribbons and silk flowers, I tie dye, and most any other craft that comes along that seems fun. What do you guys do? I don't have a lot of pics of my stuff because I don't really sell online so much as I do at festivals etc, and for the longest time I didn't have a decent camera. Still don't really. I'll post a few pics though.

Here's a wine jug that I covered with polymer clay to make a change jar for my nephew...the whitish color is glow in the dark:

The canes used to make the jug (the bigger one was twice as big, I rolled it out small and four pieces of it went around a glow in the dark core to make the smaller cane, which I sliced and used to cover the jug:

Some beads made from that cane:

A necklace made of glass, wood and carnelian beads that was a gift:

I'll have to take pics of projects when I do them from now on! Show me what you have, tell me what kind of crafty stuff you enjoy!!

very nice! I do more yard stuff than indoor. I am rebuilding my deck. I got a new pool. Above the ground, 18 foot, but I love it. I'v had one since 1995. This is my fourth pool. I'm one of those people that actually uses their pool. I'm out there at least 3 or 4 times a week.

and I realize this has nothing to do with crafts...lol

So I'm very much like @Podkayne , I dabble in a bit of everything. My Focus though is yarn tails in the winter. Normally summer I am too busy to do crafts but this year i"ve got a lot a designs to make pallet crafts with so i think I will be working on them. I'm also starting to learn how to do hairbows because I want to beable to match my outfit and my child outfit with hair bows.

This is my last tail I made. It s 3 feet long and weights about 1/2lb in yarn. Its a belt style meaning it has an elastic look to attach to a belt.

I am getting ready to start one that is going to be a waistline loop which means its elastic loop is suppose to fit around your waist under a skirt so the tail will hang out from under the clothing. I just haven't figured out the colors I want to do yet.

@Danykia - WOW! That's made from yarn? It's so fluffy! I want to pet it, lol! It looks awesome, and those would sell like hotcakes at music festivals. Re: pallet crafts....I saved a bunch of pallets from when we had the pool put in because I had grand Pinterest plans, but then I realized they were HEAVY (they were from the bricks and pavers) and awkward and I probably wasn't going to do anything with them. I gave them to a couple I know who make wooden signs and they've made some really cool stuff from them.

my big thing I'm looking at is an out door dining table. I saw this in the winter and since we live in a 600sq flat but i like to entertain this will allow me to havea place for dinner parties and still afford to have dinner parties

Oh this is cool! I love your polymer clay stuff @Podkayne and your tails are awesome @Danykia.
I dabble in a ton of stuff. I feel more like a collector of craft supplies than a do-er of anything in particular. I used to make jewelry, and had an online shop before Etsy was around.
So let's see I have done stained glass, mixed media, jewelry, watercolors, polymer clay, I went through an origami phase... sheesh I can't remember. I just love to MAKE!
I'm not really a collector of craft supplies (erm...maybe), but I do collect sewing buttons and postage stamps. Oh my gosh they are like candy to me, I can't resist them.

@rudeponies33 - LOL, you are my people. I am 100% a collector of craft supplies. Living here in yard sale heaven, I can't help it. I come across so much good stuff for so cheap. Also, I dabble in everything crafty. My main crafts are clay and beads, but I also crochet, paint, weave, tie dye, make collages, decoupage, most anything. SNERK I'm still cracking up about "collector of craft supplies" That absolutely hits the nail on the head!

OK, so here's something I was working on yesterday. I've got to do a little bit of touching up, then he's headed for the oven. (chapstick is for scale)
