    Mechanical Turk on LinkedIn

Anyone else on LinkedIn? I found an Amazon Turk LinkedIn group today. It may be a group that you'd want to add to your profile if you do any job searching on LinkedIn. Networking seems to be a good way to get access to new job openings on LinkedIn, and it displays the Amazon brand on your LinkedIn profile, which can add marketability to your resume.

In case you want to join, here's the link:

Before you jump into LinkIn, it is next to impossible to delete a LinkIn account. Also, you are required to use your real name on LinkIn.

I did find instructions there to kill it. But, it will still take some digging to kill it.

What new technology does is create new opportunities to do a job that customers want done.

I've been a little wary of using LinkedIn, although it has been suggested to me for my "real" job.

I checked out the LinkedIn MTurk group, doesn't seem to be too active. I do think LinkedIn could be a great venue. I utilize it for my other work. maybe ill see some of you there!

LinkedIn is no more sinister than FB - and their privacy controls are far better (people can't even add you unless you share mutual friends already). Same rule applies anywhere on the internet - if you wouldn't want it written on a sign in your front yard, don't post it on the internet. Even if you think it's private

Thanks for posting the link to the group. I'm on LinkedIn and will check it out now.

Thanks for the info. I like LinkedIn for my business - I've actually gotten a few client inquiries. I'm going to give it a try. Should I care if people know my real name?
