Skyrim! Anybody Else In Love With The Elder Scrolls?

It is the very first game I ever pre-ordered. I usually can wait. I played Morrowind on X-box, but the graphics were so dark, or I had a crappy TV and it wasn't enjoyable.

I played Oblivion on PC soon after my son was born and finished the main quest, and when I got an X-Box 360, I played the game of the year edition, a few times!!! (Until my X-Box 360 burnt out for the 3rd time and even the extended warranty was void) Never have I known a game with so much replay-ability.

In the last couple of years, I bought games that I thought I would love, but didn't have the passion to play. I thought I finally grew out of video games.

But, now I have Skyrim for my PS3, and I am madly in love again. Sure, I only get to play about 3 hours a day now, if I'm lucky, but it is wonderful!!

    Anyone else playing Skyrim?

I'm not playing it but it has already stolen away one of my friends. We usually chat a few hours a day online/play online games together but he bought Skyrim Friday night and has since disappeared, only poking online to state how amazing the game is and how he's off to play it more. Must be good..enjoy

Haven't played it yet, but I'm looking forward to getting it just so my character can get punted off the map by a giant at some point.

Sounds like my boyfriend. He wanted Skyrim as a late birthday/fathers day gift so I preordered it for him. He posted this on his Facebook page when we got it, with the message "Sorry not here, playing Skyrim":

I didn't know anything about the giants until I started playing. I saw a guy in the distance when I was standing on a cliff, and I asked my boyfriend how I know if it's a bad guy or a good guy. I thought there was an easy way to tell in Oblivion. He said "You don't until you go up to him" (he was wrong btw).

So I jump off the little cliff and approached the guy and he got bigger and bigger, soon I was really glad I didn't shoot an arrow at him. I guess that giant was neutral since he didn't want anything to do with me when I got close.

I also followed a fox for a while thinking it was tying to lead me somewhere. It was actually neutral and just tying to get away from me.

I got Skyrim for Christmas! I'm so excited - dragons! This is the only thing that could steal me away from turking - a new obsession. I've spent hundreds of hours with Morrowind and Oblivion, and plenty more with Fallout New Vegas.

I'll be back in about 6 weeks...

I used to play single player RPG's for years. Got really involved starting with the 2nd Ultima game in the late 80's through the 9th one. Did all the Might and Magic, and other various games. I then got started on Everquest which I followed with Everquest2 when it launched eight years ago. I still play it online every night. I remember trying Morrowind, but EQ won out for me. If any single player RPG could win me over, it would probably be Skyrim. It looks very cool. I have yet to hear a single person who plays it say they don't love it.

Now, if we could coax Knexus into returning with their awesome HITS, maybe I could afford to get Skyrim

...yeah my turking has gone waaaaaaaayyyyy down since this game but the good thing is there is 5 years in between ES games and that's really all I play anymore - well if you don't count ES w/ guns (Fallout )

[EDIT] Now the bad thing is this game might just suck me in for the next five years once the construction set comes out
