    Edited to add: The suspended workers have had their Masters revoked. I think the next batch of Masters will be higher quality.

    Additionally, we also perform a Mechanical Turk study for the task of named entity disambiguation using the dataset of Lin et al (2012). We used our two worker pools as normal AMT workers with high approval rating and AMT Master workers. We were surprised to find that Master workers are not much superior in quality than regular workers. More experiments are needed to determine whether this is generally the case or happened accidentally for our task.

    Over the past 18 months, I have messaged over 8000 new requesters who were (generally unwittingly) using the masters qualification. Nearly 5000 of them opted to discontinue using the masters qualification.

    hey guys. i signed up for mturk a couple of years ago but never did anything on it. today i logged into my old email for the first time in awhile and saw that i had an email saying i received "masters".
    can someone tell me what masters is? thanks
