Amazon Prime has lots of benefits, and yes--this book is now "borrow free" for Prime members. The day I posted the link, anyone could get the book (and keep it) free. Amazon runs lots of free Kindle books all the time, you just have to know where to look for them! Once they stop being fully free they often go borrow free for Prime members like this one did. Sorry you missed the fully free day
Glad some folks are finding the book useful, tho.

I figured that was what happened. Do you know if you can use your account balance from mTurk to pay for Prime? To get back on topic, what kind of experience do you guys have with soap-making? I want to get into it, but I still can't decide if I just want to try melt-and-pour or one of the more complex processes.

Sorry--I don't know if the mTurk balance can pay for prime. You might have to contact customer service on that one.
Why not start with melt n pour to see if you enjoy creating soap, and then move on to more complicated if you do?

I've been told that Prime requires a credit card for payment because it auto-renews by default. You can disable the renewal, but you have to have the Prime account first. If that's the case, then they probably won't allow an account credit for Prime. I guess the only way to know is to put it in your cart and see what happens. You can always back out if it asks for your CC.

Regarding soap, I used to make cold process soap and loved it! I never made it to sell, this was back before handmade soap became popular. I've thought about it though. Maybe a soap making thread could be fun

Judy - I suppose that would be the logical thing to try lol. I just can't say that I'm all that logical. I rarely take baby steps. Just ask my craft room(s)! I have tried making bath fizzies before, and I did like that. I just like making things that smell good, essentially!
