    Favorite Local Eateries?

I know we have a thread about favorite restaurant chains. But what about your favorite Mom & Pop place?

Mine is an amazing Italian deli. I only recently found this place but now we rarely eat lunch anywhere else. They use the freshest ingredients. Everything is made in small batches to ensure it's fresh. Sometimes that means that I can't get the chicken salad but I'm willing to sacrifice convenience. The bread for the sandwiches comes from a local bakery. Anthony makes the most amazing soup and meatballs I've ever had!

Please brag about your favorite. Make our mouths water! And support your community by buying local.

My favorite local places are a variety of Korean restaurants. My favorite is one just called Korean BBQ, and my husband grew up with the owner's kids. I love going there because they always bring out special treats for us. Their bulgogi is amazing and they do a really tasty kalbi tang (soup) as well. Plus, they put out a lot of side dishes. Lots of Korean restaurants do the side dishes, but this place puts out about 20 per table and they are delicious! My favorite is the radish kimchi.

I've moved away from my hometown, but I miss the little taqueria around the corner: homemade tortilla chips, spicy salsas, tacos stuffed with rich al pastor or tender lengua, tostadas piled with beans and shredded chicken...mmmmm.
