If you are not familiar with Lynda.com, it's a website that has grown from a tiny hub focusing on training for a couple of creative apps including the Adobe and Macromedia top apps of the late 1990s. In recent years, the range of creative apps has expanded to include professional and consumer tools in many types of production, programming languages, server command line tools, and many more interesting courses (now around 1500 with 70,000 videos).

There are basic and premium memberships and each are offered on a monthly or annual basis. The premium members get access to all example files used in the courses while the basic members do not. The annual cost is only 10x the cost of the monthly fee, so you basically get two months free.

The online site has an app for iOS devices to stream videos as well and the production value is exceptional.

Anyway, my reason for posting is simple - right now you can get $75 off of the annual premium plan or $50 off of the annual basic plan.

Plans:
Monthly Basic $25
Monthly Premium $37.50
Annual Basic $250 (save $50 without the coupon codes below)
Annual Premium $375 (save $75 without the coupon codes below)

Annual Basic coupon = UG10A
Annual Premium coupon = UG10P

I used the premium coupon last night, so I know it works. You are welcome to buy the DVD training programs from Lynda.com, but this program is for streaming services (online connectivity required) only. That being said, I've used the DVDs for a couple of Lynda courses before (JQuery and HTML) and can praise the thorough work!

If you seek to expand your technical skills for more online work, Lynda training is a great way to learn at your own pace.

Hope someone finds this useful!

Another tip for college students (or those working for a college) - see if your college's library offers access to Lynda - some do....
