Post your favorite drink recipes here!

I'll lead off with:

Strawberry Lemonade (mixes well with vodka)

Ingredients:

2-3 lemons
Frozen strawberries
2 cups water
3/4 cup sugar/other sweetener

Instructions:

Microwave lemons for 20-30 seconds. This helps extract more juice from the lemons.

Juice the lemons and set aside the rinds.

Microwave frozen strawberries for at least 1 minute.

Slice the rinds and put them in a blender with the water, sugar, and strawberries. Blend well. (The key to good lemonade is having a "lemony" flavor, which comes from essential oils in the rind.)

In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the mixture for 2 minutes which helps to extract the lemon oils and strawberry flavor. Strain and cool in the refrigerator. Once cool, serve and enjoy!

This serves two or three people but can be scaled up well. Everything is approximate and to taste so you can play with amounts as much as you would like. (I add more strawberries!!!)

I might have to rename this the "alcoholic beverage" thread. That Apple Pie sounds good. I've had a version served hot with whipped cream on top. Simply amazing. Apple anything warm/hot works well...though for your recipe I might tone down the alcohol if I were to warm it up. :)

:sorry: bunky I probably should not have posted the alcoholic part. Although as for toning it down a bit for drinking it warm there really isn't a lot of alcohol in it as the recipe makes about 2 1/2 gallons of the stuff. You may want to make the non-alcoholic batch though and add the alcohol after it is warmed one shot at a time. Otherwise the alcohol will disperse when it is warmed.

London Fog

This is an earl grey tea-based beverage that I've been drinking for years. It's basically a vanilla soy tea latte.

Earl Grey Tea
Vanilla flavoring/syrup
Steamed soy milk

1) Make tea, add sugar and vanilla.
2) Steam some soy milk to get the foamy stuff (optional, if no steamer heating it up and adding it is just fine) and pour it on top.
3) Enjoy.

All Fivebucks err....Starbucks can make these. So good.

I'm looking for the best damn hot cholocate ever recipe. So far the best mix I've found is the Land O'Lakes Chocolate Supreme. But then they ran out of it and I'm seriously addicted, so I got this big thing of Nestle's Rich Chocolate mix, and it sucks. Please, please, I need good rich hot chocolate!

I use the recipe on the back of Hershey's cocoa.

I use the recipe on the back of Hershey's cocoa.Me too, well I use the recipe on the side of the store brand unsweetened cocoa but I think they're probably the same. It ends up tasting like chocolate pudding

For the best hot chocolate heat milk on the stove (slowly so it doesn't burn) and mix it with Nutella and a little cinnamon.
