:baghead_f:

Crikey, I had been doing so well but first I made el stupido mistakes on one thing (paid, with the mistakes noted, which makes me feel even worse) and then ... THEN.... I stupidly neglected to thoroughly re-read the style guide in an unnamed (lest the editor find me and beat me) HIT... I hadn't done one of this type in a bit and haven't done enough of them period to have it down, but stupid me I thought my scan was good enough... the litany of corrections couldn't fit in the comment box :sorry2:

Both for the same requester, of course... Hoping I am not teetering on qualifications being revoked so soon, :spdturk:

I was just so excited to see work that I fumbled it, STUPIDLY!! Ack!

That's all, just really feeling like an :asshat: today... Afraid to do another writing HIT!!

Oh, ouch- I know that feeling. There are just some HERP DERP typos and mistakes that happen occasionally no matter how hard you try to catch them all.

What I did when I realized I'd screwed up on a potentially lucrative source of HITs by doing something like five in a row of them completely wrong (didn't cite proper references), I emailed the requester, explained that I was new to his HITs and hadn't seen one of the requirements until just then (in my defense, there were a buttload of requirements to begin with), and asked him to have mercy, promising that I would comply with all the guidelines in the future. His response? "no problem."

It happens to the best of us, so far I feel like I'm going to have "those days" where I'm not going to be at the top of my game, so I plan on just doing really fast penny hits.

I should probably do something like that (quick-approval tiny HITs) until I get back up to 98% approval (went through a bad time with one particular requester early on, which pummeled my percentage).

I love when requesters recognize that we're human and we make mistakes.
